MAGMA has discovered an issue with the wiring of the 80mm 33.4 CFM Expansion Card/Backplane Fan. The fan is wired such that it will not spin at maximum RPMs, resulting in diminished cooling of cards installed in the expansion slots. Depending on the heat produced by the cards installed in the expansion slots the fan may or may not provide adequate cooling. A cable is available, from MAGMA, which corrects the wiring allowing the fan to run at full RPMs.
This cable is plugged in between the fan and the backplane and can be easily installed by the user. Product may be also returned to MAGMA for this rework.
