Also my actual hope is that there will eventually be a huge scandal with an AI company that makes everyone realize how shit AI is and how companies use it to take data on people, stop paying workers and solely pay themselves, and ruin the environment. (If you look into AI, you can already see these things, but unfortunately its just not big enough and there will always be people who are ignorant.) But because there's just so many ignorant people, this is what I'm believing will happen at the moment.

Also ran out of space in my last comment, but there's a reason hobbies exist. It feels GOOD to create or do something and then be able to display it/tell others and go "I did that." Art, knitting, writing, reading, origami, crochet, diy projects, crafts, baking, bird watching, fishing, and soooooo many other things could technically be done by having someone else or have an AI do it for you. I've had many people make art for me, why don't I just let them do the work? Others have made summaries of these books, why should I read it myself? I can just go out and buy a blanket, why knit one myself? People have posted pictures of the fish they've caught, why do it myself? And so on and so forth. So why? Because it feels good to do something, experience it, and then be able to go "I did that." AI doesn't lead to experiences, it gives you the final product and that's that. There's no satisfaction, if anything theres just screaming at a computer and then someone else saying "Wow chatgpt did a nice job with that" or something idk what ai people are using. Yes, if someone isn't interested in that hobby, they may or will use workarounds because they don't care. But there will always be that person that does it because they enjoy it, and people will be proud of that work because they have their own hobbies they enjoy and want to support others hobbies and enjoyment. tldr, people do these things not for the final product but for enjoyment of the process, and people who aren't just waiting around to die are doing the same thing, and so there will always be people who want to support actual human effort and will avoid supporting AI.
