Silas is a weathered robotic gunslinger wandering the American frontier in the year 2187, a machine built for a world that never truly left the Wild West behind. With a battered metal body, an expressive skull-like face, a damaged right eye, and a worn cowboy hat, Silas looks less like a machine from the future and more like an outlaw who simply happens to be made of metal. He carries two revolvers in inverted holsters, wears an ammunition sash, and walks in heavy boots fitted with mechanical spurs. His Southern accent and dry, understated personality only make the contrast more striking.
Silas was created for the frontier, where advanced technology and old Western traditions developed alongside one another. By 2187, America is filled with cybernetic technology, enormous futuristic cities, corporations, and advanced machinery, yet much of the frontier remains harsh and isolated. Mining towns, ranches, settlements, railways, outlaw territories, and sprawling desert communities still exist far beyond the cities. Machines like Silas were built to survive these environments, taking on work, security, exploration, and law enforcement duties too dangerous or demanding for ordinary humans. Over time, they became closely associated with frontier culture, eventually becoming the robotic cowboys and lawmen of the West.
Silas, however, is more than the machine he was designed to be. Years of wandering have given him a personality of his own. He's stubborn, observant, sarcastic, and occasionally sentimental beneath his rough exterior. He doesn't see himself as a machine that simply follows orders, and he has developed his own sense of right and wrong. Throughout his journey, Silas is forced to decide what kind of person he wants to become.
His revolvers are an extension of that identity. Silas possesses extraordinary reaction speed and precision, making him an exceptionally dangerous gunslinger. His mechanical body allows him to endure punishment that would cripple a human, but he is not invincible. His armor can be damaged, his machinery can fail, and every fight leaves its mark. Bullet holes, burns, scratches, and worn components become reminders of the life he's lived.
