believe art is one of the last honest things left a way to say something true without having to explain yourself. I make it because I have to, not because it's trendy or easy or particularly profitable.

Art should make you feel something, joy, nostalgia, grief, defiance, the quiet ache of remembering who you used to be. It doesn't need to be clever or ironic or dressed up in a concept. It just needs to be real. That's the whole point. That's the only rule I keep.

I paint for the people who still believe in beauty without apologizing for it, in sincerity without irony, in making something with your hands in a world that mostly wants you to scroll past it.

This is how I stay human in a world that keeps asking me not to.
