(Part 2 of my rant below I ran out of space lmao) but it could be possible that Zim has it too? There's not as much evidence for it, the best that I can think of being in The Wettening when at the beginning of the episode Zim's rewatching footage of himself getting beat up and bullied, but still. I think that if we ever got a continuation of the series after Enter the Florpus, once Zim realizes the Tallest are dead (which would take a WHILE lmao ) I think it'd be a likely scenario that he might fall back on Dib, being the person he's closest with(again...Mopiness of Doom <3...) as if the Tallest are dead, the people he's been trying to prove himself to for his ENTIRE LIFE, he seemingly has no purpose in life. Maybe after that, the effect obviously wouldn't be immdiate as after a whole 2 seasons and a movie of shared rivalry it'd be kinda hard to get over it just like that, they could eventually, slowly, become friends.

ignore how it's been 3 months since I posted but the reason i think zim and dib would be such good friend (if zim wasn't trying to be silly and take over earth) is because they both could relate to each other based on their situation. Dib is so hated by everyone around him, hell even Gaz doesn't like him(though I wouldn't say she HATES him, though in Enter the Florpus they seem to have a better relationship so tbh she probably likes him deep down it's just he pulls so much bullshit especially in the original series she doesn't she it much), and you can see that heavily effect him. It's never actually adressed in the show because it's an early 2000's nickoledeon cartoon ofc they aren't gonna, but I think he expresses many symptom of self-loathing. Not gonna say specifically what scenes, cause that'd be a whole other rant but it's there, and he's so aware of this hate that it turns into even him kind of hating himself, and I have kind of a little theory that to distract himself from this, he focuses so heavily on Zim. Proving Zim is an alien would solve all his problems, as the reason he's so hated in the show is because of his naive belief in aliens and otherworldly species. Zim faces a similar problem. It's no secret the Tallest despise his guts, probably the entire Irken Armada too since kinda whatever the Tallest say is agreed by everyone else. They even sent him so far away (6 month trip as shown in the pilot) in hopes that he would literally die and got so absolutely pissed when they found out he was alive again in Enter the Florpus. However, unlike Dib, Zim is unaware of this. At least seemingly, I think he's probably aware of it but does the exact same thing Dib does. Hyperfixate on specific thing in order to prove himself to people that he's worth something. Dib with proving Zim's an alien, and Zim with taking over Earth for the Tallest. I think the two kind of recognize this simlarity and care for each because of it, but since their ultimate goals clash with one another they have the rivalry that is sorta the entire premise of the show. As seen in Mopiness of Doom, despite their shared "hatred" for one another, they do care about each other. They recognize how their both going through the same thing and allow the other to hyperfixate on them (as getting rid of Dib is basically just as important to Zim as taking over Earth) to attempt and ignore the hatred they face and maybe even the shared self loathing. I love how Crag of the Creek has the most silly characters but then they make them unsettling at times and it's hilarious. My favorite example of this is JP. I swear this man has some kind of sixth sense.

It has also earned me the title of basically the gayest person in the friend group, which I am proud to have claimed because holyyy the competition in the friend group for that title is insane(almost all of us are either lesbian or bi). The actual title of it was "the superior girl kisser" but same thing lmao. They gave me bonus points for being the only one with two sexualities for some reason lol since I'm both lesbian and asexual. Honestly at this point our humor is mainly just LGBTQ jokes. There's only a singular straight person in the group
