WARNING NEW SCAM WARNING TO ANYONE ON THE INTERNET AND USES WINDOWS!!!! (i was on puter and also dedicated to wattpad users) so basically i was scrolling on wattpad, reading a fourteenten story cuz im a chud and then a REALLY convincing website had a Microsoft color palette and everything (that was prob from an add i accidentally clicked with my shitty keyboard or wattpad is hacked) but it took me to a website and fullscreen me and mini pop ups appeared that said ERROR ERROR! like 10 of them stacked on each other and then 6 things popped up at once, a number to call, a side 'support' chat and the bg was like "YOUR WINDOWS IN IS TROUBLE" with with symbols with what 'happened' and explanations. Then a VERY creepy (at least to me) appeared suddenly said (i know word for word since it happened like 10 minutes ago) "Your windows PC is in danger. We have suspected that someone has used your IP adress maliciously and , which could lead to idenity theft. Your Windows is now LOCKED until you call the number on the screen. Call now to avoid a future notice." Then it repeated over and over and over. TO SEE I PANICED IN AN UNDERSTATMENT CUZ OH BOY.. the puter i was using was NOT MINE IT THE THE FAMILY PUTER, and i would get grounded to hell if it was real. THANKFULLYYY I didn't have my phone on me (cuz i was grounded) but i know where it is and could have easily turned the identity theft scam into reality. Thankfuly i press control+W to see if it would work and it did yay ^^ NOTES IF YOU THINKS ITS REAL!!: searched it up and ip adresses are smth everyone can access VERY easily and also it only shows what state ur in and ur city (example: Chicago, Illinois) so yeah not that bad. 2. THE THING WAS IN FULL SCREEN. FULL SCREEN. If something did happen it would say "Oh call this number and share ur info!" no it would be a pop up to change passwords and shit. 3. I BARLY GO ON THE COMPUTER!! I only use it for homework, wattpad, drawing, and news, NOTHING ELSE. Unless my parents were being dimwits and clicking whatever was in front of them, that shouldn't happen.
