Before you post, before you answer a DM request from a stranger, before you click on a strange link... perhaps give some thought to your own online safety.

Never share any personally identifiable information, do not share images of yourself with strangers on the platform, especially as a minor. It's the internet and you can't be sure who is on the other side.

We have a basic guide with tips on staying safe on Magma but it's helpful to discuss this with parents and teachers too if you can.

@Magma i got an idea for the report system. I talked about it in the art jam automatic flag, but i don't know if you have seen it. I also feel like there should be limit for accounts, mainly to stop harassers from harassing (via device if possible) . I have other ideas too

That cool

Magma•1mo•Edited•Recommended

Recently, we switched to a randomized order of live Art Jams to help new and smaller Jams to get seen. We saw some great results with that but also noted your requests for being able to sort by the most popular again and also be able to search.

Well now you can!

We've added different sorting options and a search bar to the Live Jams section. You can search based on the title of the Jam and the host's name.
Go test it out!

Want to keep your chat channels clean? Try out the new automatic moderation feature available for Artspace channels and Art Jam chat.

We think this will be a great feature for live streamers, event hosts, and large communities.

You can choose to either hide offensive words or swearing as well. This setting is not enabled by default. You can decide which channels in your Artspace and which Art Jams you want it to be active for.

We have more details in our user guide here

WAIT THIS IS SO GOOD!

So pretty

yay!!!!

The DM implementation is good, but I think it would be better if it only displayed the chat for the page when the canvas is open...
I felt it was annoying when it popped up while I was drawing.

Thnx

I can’t see what jams my friends are in and it makes me really sad :(( please tell me this is just a bug!

PLEASSEEE bring back joining ppl you follow and also maybe a setting that hides the dm box thingy?

Thank you so much for adding DMs! I’m so grateful! This will get super handy.

I don't normally comment on these posts.. but I don't like how the call button has moved and such, other than that and the chat issue I think this update is fine. But I would prefer the previous call system or at least the button placement and the little noises it makes when you make the call and such ^^

@Magma you should have your team draw something :] (only if they have time and it's not too much trouble)

ooo maybe you could add a feature where you can see what posts you liked? or maybe where you could add posts *whether its yours or not* to like, a playlist so that you could keep track of your characters or smth? these would be very helpful ^w^

We are working on the bugs. Thank you for your patience. We'll be patching these issues later today.

I hate this update T-T

Mag PLEASE what happened to the chat when I write long messages it like trails off with dots and I can’t read anything

@Magma hai

buddy why did you remove the button where we can join our friends on jams.. PLEASE ADD IT BACKKK

I hope everything goes well with you're other features then!

@Bread.roll we've put timelapses on hold at the moment. It's quite heavy on the servers and we had t prioritize other features. But i hope we'll be able work on it again and release it eventually

Do you think you'll be able to add timelapses to canvases (all in general) and make them downloadable so that we can watch our art progress and maybe upload them to the internet. You don't have to, I was just wondering

FIX THE UPDATE!! I CANT JOIN MY FRIEND IN PUBLIC BUT I CAN ON RANDOM PPL??WHY WOULD I THIS IS STUPID,BRING IT BACK

this upd is shit

Heya magma team I watched ur YT videos!
