There were old stories around a certain region about a special yokai that lived a long and healthy life. It was described as a Kappa that took the trip of the Yamawaro, yet stayed turtle-like due to finding his place in the surface.
Despite being most like a Kappa, it was generally kind, preferring
tea and fruits to cucumbers, no one was sure why he was so friendly, or where did he came from, but he quickly made himself at home.
Records described his personality as somewhat foolish, mentioning his age, being clumsy and clueless at times,
but it was all merely an act, to see the kind of person you were to him.
A yokai of many talents, as a teacher, writer, storyteller, a blacksmith that rivaled Masamune, some have even said a war veteran. One thing of note is that it was said that he disliked
the motion of predetermined fate and those who blindly follow it,
and that's why he spent most of his life teaching others how to
live their own lives. With some stories saying that Kudan in his presence, seemed more hopeful before they passed.
There are stories about his acts, some wild, others unbelievable, yet all amusing. From how he was banished from Kusenbo's troupe, to how he may been a Kami in Kappa skin, to how before
Susano-o, Orichi tried and failed to fight him, to how always, the three terrible yokai of Japan knelt before him, fearing his wrath.
The most popular story he wrote was about an evil spirit, as big as a Daidarobochi, that threatened the lands. Leading a group of three, a strange swordsman, a lizard yokai and a living shadow were sent to fight it, only to find themselves outmatched, fighting an endless battle, only when the old yokai showed up and, alongside the lizard yokai, his last student, broke the spirit's guard just long enough before being sealed.
It is unknown which stories were true, but what it's true is that it has been long since he passed away, in the small village he first appeared in, with his descendants taking the mantle, unsure if they could live up to him.
He inspired many to be grand leaders, writers and warriors, to be in charge of your own life and fate, and for that, he was enshrined in many towns and villages. It's believed that his spirit still wanders, unhappy at the thought of resting when he could be doing something more, protect those who can't fight.
And that you should pray and offer something at one of his shrines, then nights will feel safer since he banished evil spirits that would try to harm you using his great Otsuchi.
That yokai referred to himself as Gerson Boom, but those who saw him in action, called him the Otsuchi of justice.

Jarona! I'm falling! Hey, Raly. Sorry to keep you waiting. Sorry, m'lady!
Ja-orange! Ja-kidding! Flowers bloom in your heart! My king! The boys.
Once upon was a golden blossom, alongside with his branch mates, delusional of their lives, believing they were human.
One day, the caretaker, alone and depressed, opened a world of darkness where the blossoms took new forms and gained consciousness.
The golden blossom, took the role of their leader and made it's mission to prevent the caretaker, now the shogun of this world from discovering the three samurais, by sending his branch mates to chase them across the field and the running sky, adorned by seven suns.
Eventually they catch up, and they fought, and the samurais coming out victorious.
Filled with power, the samurais sent the flowers to the real world, only for the ruthless roaring ninja to capture the shogun like a war prisoner.
And before the ninja cut the golden blossom in two, the shogun's dream was over.
If you haven't seen it, you should.
Jevil was the most skilled samurai in the land, yet in times of peace, used it for entertainment trough the kingdom.
That was until one day...................
The devil himself, Shuten-Dลji visited our lands.
I don't know what he said to my old friend, but it was a terrible truth, one
which drove him mad.
He forged a new weapon, one he proudly sported as the Onikama, one he used to decimated the kingdom.
The emperors sent me to lock him away, and it was a terrible battle, one which I didn't leave unscathed.
The words of that oni that he spoke to me, still haunt me to this day.
My view of this world grows darker, yet darker..............

Turn around, kid, it'd be a crime. Of a had to go back on the promise
that I made for you, so don't step over that line. Or else friend, you're gonna have a bad time. But kids like you don't play by the rules, and guys like me aren't easy to be played for fools. So let's go, now the room gets chiller. Let's go, dirty brother killer.
