I wrote a story once about a middle aged person stuck in a dead end job when suddenly the child version of them appears in their room. The story follows this person trying to figure what to do with this younger doppelganger and whilst doing so they realize how talented they once were. They reflect on how much potential they had and realize how disappointed the younger version of them must be (this drawing basically)
The story ends with the young mc being proud of all the older mcs accomplishments (even if they cant see it) and subsequently merge into them. they lost the little clone physically, but regained their childhood ambition, the mc then quits their job, and sets forth to bring their dreams to life.
idk if ill ever write this story, but its kinda cool, dont steal im trademarking and copyrighting it rn
