Missed the actual jam, as i probably will for the days to come due to all of them occuring whenever i'm busy (school), but i still want to contribute to the magma themes

2 hour artwork (sobs, my slow ahh)

I'd like to dedicate more of my time to creature designing and fanarts (for fandoms + friends), since its October (seems fitting)

This is an Ankheg, a DND creature (Figured i'd start Inktober alphabetically)

The way i interpreted the theme was just using brushes labeled with 'ink', such as the 'watery ink' brush and the infamous....well, 'ink' brush

Mainly used lasso fill tool overall though, as its just a staple in my art style

as much as i do want to work on full art pieces again, worldbuilding and character design is weight i gotta drag

these are some oc silhouettes I've made recently, for my side lore world project BLOOD METAL // The Metallic Taste of Blood
(Biomechanical body horror world concept where scrap metal gains sentience, and stops at nothing to merge itself with flesh // I've posted a wip from this lore world only once before, the Seamstress)

I'm working on concepts for like 3 other worlds (two shared, and one personal) so progress is slow

we all got that one lore world we imagine in a video game am i right

2 commissions completed, ive been putting off posting them too long
i like how im starting to experiment with color more

Another peak base collab, this one with a lil more effort than my other doodle since I got the opportunity to work on a larger section

kept struggling with the two layer limit (usually I use 5-10)

Been about a year since I posted such a saturated artwork, looked into the depths of my gallery (and proceeded to choke)

I recall being hella proud of the original (now i look back and die of laughter), had a neon on black canvas phase back then (I still do, but I learn not to burn eyes as often)

I find neon very fun to try, i do encourage painting with it with minimal to no blending, fun way to experiment with values

I've always thought of making tutorials but my neon style looks kinda basic lowkey

I got signed up for some adobe photoshop classes (not that I wanted to, I was fine with procreate and magma without paying $20 a month for the adobe app, but then again i'm not the one paying)

Got some assignment to try to draw something more original after copying some references as practice (I've never used Adobe Photoshop before)

recalled watching // Alien: Romulus // one or two years ago
decided to make a lil tribute by drawing a xenomorph in my own style

It's lowkey chopped as hell but i swear my magma horror wips mog this

The only thing I'm hella pissed about is the fact I couldn't find a quick lasso fill option
like gng google tellin me yo top notch industry standard and you don't even have lasso fill

sobs i have a habit of using bright colors and hyper saturating a character's color palette i'll start learning to draw with lighting one day...
i havent been posting because ive been tryna figure out how to get my remaining 10 artfight bookmarks done (son i have like 4 artfight attack wips ) 9 of the bookmarks are people i've met on magma

Trackpad lasso is pretty slow so im trying my best to detail while completing as fast as i can

I've been thinking about starting commissions and issuing these types of fullbody artworks for 100 mags, is it fair?

didn't lean too much on horror for this one because I wanted a bit of balance, loved the simplicity of the design and slight delve into the horror aspect the character sheet showed :D

This post is slightly different to what i submitted in artfight bc i somehow see mistakes only after i submit them

I still have over 10 people on my artfight hitlist so might try to finish one a day and hope i don't get burnt out :')
