--The World Keeps On Spinning--

And the world kept on spinning.
Kids laughing, running towards the same target in a race.
One tripped. Her laughter stopped, instead ceasing to tears.

The rest of the children kept running forward, unaware.
The kid sat there sniffling.
And so the world kept on spinning.

Days passed, then months, then years.
Kids grow up, things change.
People have to go away.
These everlasting ties of friendship end up being severed by distance.
And so, the world keeps on spinning.

A body is something not easily changed.
"Oh, you're so lucky!" they'd say.
To others it might seem like a gift, but what about the actual person in that skin?
"I hate myself..." they think.
But the world still kept on spinning.
Spiraling, dark thoughts, feeling scared to ask for help.
"So dramatic... This generation is broken."

People really can't see past stereotypes, can they...?
Silent screams, invisible terrors...
When they finally end it, its

OVER.

People wonder what was wrong, "No one could have known."
Even then, through all that, everyone eventually moved on.
Oh, who am I kidding?
No one cares until it's too late, but somehow...

The world, it just keeps on spinning.
