RASING AWARENESS
A 101-page civil lawsuit recently exposed the alleged 2024 drugging and gang rape of a student ("Jane Doe") by members of a campus fraternity.
What is equally horrifying is how the university initially responded: the 7 accused men were disciplined by being ordered to write essays.
Let that sink in. A violent, life-altering crime was met with a homework assignment.
This is a completely unjust, insulting response that protects institutional reputation over human safety. A slap on the wrist like this sends a dangerous message that survivor trauma does not matter.
Thousands of Cornell students and faculty are fighting back—holding mass walkouts, sit-ins, and demanding the resignation of top leadership. The New York Attorney General has also stepped in to launch a renewed investigation.
We cannot let this be swept under the rug. Institutional transparency must come before a university's reputation.

To every single survivor of SA:
you are not alone.
Your trauma is real. Your voice matters. The institutional failures that try to minimize your experience do not define your strength, your worth, or your truth. I see you, WE see you, we believe you, and we will continue to fight for the accountability and justice you deserve.

I am Jane Doe.
