Randomly got motivation to draw a whole bunch of MP100 characters using these cute chibi bases. Unfortunately, they were extremely tiny. To counteract that, I drew it as pixel art instead and I think it turned out much better than if I drew it normally. It's so cute!!

I unfortunately do not know the creator of these bases, I think it's on the base but it's in Japanese which I cannot read nor have the ability to translate. If someone knows who this artist is, please let me know! I'd love to give proper credit.

You can probably tell which ones I liked the most and which ones I liked the least. I also tried setting them up so they're sort of in duos (Minori is just... There.)
It's also my first time drawing Serizawa, so he might look a little funny. Maybe some of them just don't work in a pixelated style.

Anyway, translation: I drew an old OC that I've been neglecting lore-wise and I think it turned out really well. It's a unique pose I don't usually do so there's definitely stuff I could work on. The sunset also looks more like a sunrise, especially since I was considering putting frost on the grass. I also wish I didn't use the purple shading, but it was too late to undo it. I'm hoping that it feels somewhat emotional, because that's what I was aiming for in this piece. Maybe I'll remake it in the near future.

I'm not as interested in object shows as I was a year or so ago, but I really wanted to draw one of the characters. I drew Airy from HFJONE.

Originally created just to be another guy in Ryuta's backstory, but I had too much fun with him I turned him into an entirely new unique character that I can hopefully fit into the story more than once...

also AAAGHH I can't decide whether to call characters by their first or last name, since in Japan people call each other by their family name, unless they're close in some way, correct?
Also I've been struggling to figure out if his name is even possible- can someone be named Teruhiko Kaneko? That sounds silly.

Lately I've been drawing this new OC named Igarashi Ryuta! He's a My Hero Academia OC A heteromorph with a water manipulation quirk.

I'm very happy with how he's been turning out so far. Currently I've been trying to work on relationships between characters, since he is existing at the same time as the regular cast. I'm so bad at characterization / noticing how characters act, so I need to improve.
I imagine him and Denki being best friends.

anyway onto stuff i hate about the piece, I kinda half-did the shading, I didn't feel like putting a whole lot of effort into the hands. also anatomy is incorrect but i think we all know that right

Spent pretty much the entire day on this thing. I wanted to give off a bit of a collage/scrapbooking kinda feeling, and I think it worked?
I also know it doesn't say "Favourite Song" on there even though it's got my favourite song, I just didn't like how it looked. I think people will be able to recognize it as song though.

I've been wanting to make one of these for years now, and only now have I been able to. Also sort of works as a reference sheet too.

I feel like I'm misssing something but I don't feel like going back n fixing it, mainly because I don't know what is missing

So like I'm not a huge fan just yet, but a few days ago my friend and I watched all three episodes and it's pretty cool. A little silly, but I liked it. I enjoy horror stuffs and the jumpscares definitely spooked me a whole bunch, and that ending was very unexpected too. I can't wait to see what happens next, because I think there might be a fourth part?

I thought it'd be much easier to draw him humanized! I came up with the outfit on the spot, but I really like it. I don't like the eyes though. I made it like that because it's like, friendly and creepy in a way? eh, I couldn't figure out what to do.

Honestly, it's not as great as I wanted it to be, plus the purple-yellow scheme didn't come out as nicely as I was hopping it would. Originally I was going to make my own profile but I didn't have enough motivation too. If I did, I might have artblock for the entirety of July so I can recover....

Okay!!! Artfight's coming up in a few days! I've been working over exam week to prepare for it, and after monday I'll have all the time to do it! I tried making a new profile picture for my Artfight account...

I decided that for every year I'll dress to match the teams! I'm on team comedy, so I thought it would be fitting to make a jester-like outfit, with my own spin on it.
He's a little goofy, I did do this in less than two hours because I tried recording it... I want to try and upload a speedpaint video! :>

Currently all my OCs are being renovated, getting new descriptions and some of them new reference sheets! :> Then I'll probably work on my team card which I might make using my own template.

coolest thing I found was "Make my messes matter, make this chaos count" from the song Jupiter by Sleeping At Last but I'm still not 100% sure if that would work as a title even if it's just shortened </3

This is so far one of my favourites from JJK, but I heard he does something later in the series, so I'm REALLY scared. No spoilers, please, as of this post I'm only on Season 1, episode 20.

It's a little messy because I was in a rush to finish this, the bases were being changed as I was doing the shading / lighting

I also didn't really use a reference for the mace so if it's wrong, that's why. And also because if I did use a reference it'd look wrong anyway.

Just thinking about things
I've come across something I'd love to do in the future, and there's a whole lot I want to get. That's a little difficult when I don't have income.
Might be getting a job? Of course, not now. I don't know exactly what I want to do or how to get it, but I'm going to have to do something this summer. There's a chance I could do art-related stuffs during the school months, but I'm still figuring it out. It's a pretty good chance because 1. I think I know how to do it/set it up 2. I'm happy with my art skills 3. It's the only thing I'm really GOOD at lmao

I'm worried though, I don't like the idea of messing up, and when I'm in a huge group for hours on end every day (or week day)... I'm totally gonna mess up and cry. Like school. I can only bear with it because my friends are there and it's an environment I'm very used to. An A&W? A McDonald's? Timmies? Yeah, I've ordered there, but never have I gone behind the counter and made burgers for people. I'm also worried that if I do, it's going to require a car, which I'm very, very afraid of. The idea of being able to pilot any vehicle makes me uncomfortable. I can barely ride a bike!

Also I feel like if I work a regular job I'll be able to get more money than if I sold my art or did comissions. It's unpredictable the artsy stuff. I also hear about people who end up hating art after making it more of a job than a hobby. sobs
But I also worry about disappointing the people around me or getting yelled at by people who don't know who I am. I'm just a guy trying to live life, what am I possibly going to do when I eventually turn 18 and have to leave the house? Actually, I'll prolly stay a while, housing absolutely sucks.

I'm surprised I even have the motivation. I was sitting here in this desk one day, thinking about this thing I want to do, then realised to do it I need a job. I need to get money. I need to DO something. Fuelled me with so much energy, but I bet once I do it I'm gonna get tired of it after a week. I don't even know how different jobs work like full-time, part-time, how to get one ONLY for the summer, so that I can do school when it starts.
I need to do research, but how do I start??? Where??

I don't really have any good reason to say this other than It's kind of nice getting stuff off my chest, you know? I'm a very extroverted person and I love to talk to people. It makes me happy. And I'm a bit anxious.
