Only pinned message will be this one unless I delete it, but I want friends to play with on Xbox (I can use crossplay on a few games) so DM for my user. That's it

It looks bad but I wasn’t attempting an actual piece. Anyway, the prompt was ancient, so I drew the B-52 in the retro paint, since they're almost 75 now and still in prominent active duty. Also, I know the point of Jamtober is to draw on Jams, but I don't really care and I don't want to do that because my process looks terrible. And the outcome. I just wanted to draw. Also, he's pasted on the background because there was too much empty space and I didn't want to do anything
I have an ACP Chemistry Midterm in two days. It's genuinely so cooked. At least I have a 90 in Chemistry right now. That's not awful. It's my second-lowest grade, but it could be worse. Could be English. Anyway, I've come to learn that out of everything I do at home, plane spotting by far makes me the happiest, so I'm just gonna do that for an hour. I guess it depends on air traffic, and also whether the airport switched the departure direction. I hope they didn't.
good luck on the midterm! 0 D
I'm not gonna trick-or-treat this year. I haven't done it in like 2 or 3 years, actually. I won't do nothing over fall break, though, I plan to walk around my city to find a place to planespot for when I get my camera. Preferably, an open space where I can see the sky, and even better if it's directly under or at least near the path that airplanes most often take when approaching my state capital airport. I spent yesterday evening just sitting in my backyard taking pictures of the airplanes that fly over, since they get pretty close to my house. Having a spot in the city would be better, though, since I want to take Newt planespotting. It's shocking how long I can make a post about something that could be two sentences.
Also, I can find the spot myself, since I'm getting my camera over Christmas and won't be able to planespot very well until then
A C-5m Super Galaxy just passed over the major city of my state, which is pretty close to the city I live in. Also, I know technically no one but in-person friends looks at my stuff, but it's better safe than sorry, hence why I will keep my city and state ambiguous. Just based on all of the flight traffic information I have given, though, you could probably track me. Don't do that. I don't have anything of interest besides several gigabytes' worth of poor-quality airplane photos.
Y'know, distancing yourself from someone who was once a close best friend is not fun, especially when they don't realize you're doing it. I'm almost sure it'll benefit me in the long run. My mental health has not been doing great, and it was pretty tied to that person. At least I have Newt and airplanes. ILY Newt, you're pretty awesome
looks around
I just learned yesterday that there was an Ace difficulty on Ace Combat 7. I would do the hard mode on missions 18 and 20 to unlock it, but my Xbox shuts off during the cutscenes. I might be able to get mission 20 down if I speedrun it, but mission 18 is a lost cause until I get the Series X. I'm excited
Aceing my Combat till I Seven
I'm playing Ace Combat 7 and I JUST met the mission requirements for the YF-23 Special Skin, but the second I got the end cutscene of the one guy exploding, my Xbox shut down from overheating. I need a new Xbox. I have a bag of ice on it right now and I'm hoping I can redo the mission and get the skin again so I can ACTUALLY unlock it, because you still have to finish the mission to get the skin
LATERALLY OF ALL OF THE DAYS TO BE CLOUDY, A C-17 GLOBEMASTER FLIES OVER. That's my favorite cargo plane ever, and I couldn't even see it
Like I'd rather not even know it went over than hear it but not be able to see it. It actually makes me feel awful
Ace Combat 8 released today guys. Still can't play it because I'm on Xbox One, but that's okay. If my dad gets it, I can just play it on his Xbox for a bit if I want.
Okay I just looked at the full aircraft list and it's a little disappointing. They added like 5-6 new aircraft, and half of those were made up. I'll wait for what other people say to decide whether or not to get it.
C-130 Super Hercules went STRAIGHT over my house, but I only got a picture as it was flying away because I was playing ace combat and didn’t realize the plane I was hearing was NOT a normal flyover until it was halfway over. Never sprinted out of my house so fast in my life
I almost fell to my knees, and I'm unfortunately not even lying. I love planes
I can play Red Starred Avengers on the tenor saxophone and soprano recorder now. I actually don't know why I have a recorder. It's one of those like 50-cent plastic ones you give to 5 year olds for music class and don't expect them to actually play well, hence why it is horribly out of tune no matter what I do. Back in about 8th grade, I played clarinet, and I was pretty good, so my band teacher gave me a recorder solo on one of our songs, and I learned how to play the recorder. It's obviously not difficult to make a decent sound on it, but actually trying to play interesting songs can get tricky because there aren't any keys, it's just holes, so the fingerings get complicated sometimes. I got it though, now I can play the War Thunder theme on the recorder. Next up is ARK. I can play the ARK theme on tenor sax, and pretty decent, but it might get hard on recorder just because of the note range. I can't go up the octave on the recorder yet, and I doubt I'll be able to do it on my plastic one. Unless I actually get a concert recorder to mess around with, I probably won't be able to play it. This was initially supposed to be a single sentence about how I can play the War Thunder theme on recorder, I don't know how it got this long. I'm going to band class in 15 minutes. I love tenor sax.
Guys. A 747-E4B just flew over my house at 20 thousand feet. And I DIDN'T see it. I heard it, it was super loud, but I didn't see it. The cloud cover is weird though, it's those weird almost blanket patches, so it messes up my ability to spot planes. The E4B Doomsday plane is so cool
Google AI is confusing me because when I ask for a full aircraft roster, I don't really care to count all of them, but it skips over the Su-47 in the listing, which is weird, because it includes every other Soviet / Russian aircraft. When I specifically ask whether the Su-47 will be in Ace Combat 8, it says yes, but I'm not sure if the AI is being stupid or not. It could be using information from Ace Combat 7 or 5 and get that somehow mixed up with Ace Combat 8. I would go on the official Bandai Namco website to look at the listing, but it's blocked, no surprise there. If I can get a buddy to play Xbox with, though, I'll definitely get Ace Combat 8 and replace my Xbox One, because AC8 has Electronic Warfare aircraft, which is probably either for specialized missions or for multiplayer use where one person uses an Electronic Warfare aircraft and everyone else picks more dedicated fighters. I'm getting excited talking about it. Technically, I could just play with my dad. I might just do that. I have until Christmas to say goodbye to my Xbox One.
You guys have no idea how excited I am for October 2nd. The funny thing is that my dad keeps offering to buy me an Xbox Series X, but I'm emotionally attached to my suffering Xbox One. I might have to forfeit, though. Ace Combat 8, the game coming out on October 2nd, can only be played on a Series X in terms of Xbox consoles. Plus, there are plenty of other games (Ready or Not, JWE3, etc.) that I would like to play but can't because I don't have a Series X. The deciding factor for whether I'll actually replace my Xbox One is whether or not Ace Combat 8 has the Su-47. I'm gonna check the aircraft list to see what they'll release and come back with another post.
Opened up Flight Radar to a B-1b Lancer. Not in the United States, Great Britain, but it's still so cool. The B-1 is my favorite bomber by far. Contrary to popular opinion, I like the B-1 over the B-52, and the B-52 over the B-2. A lot of people like the B-2 the most. Don't get me wrong, I think it's super cool, but I just prefer the other two more.
All three times I have seen an Airbus Beluga on Flight Radar, it's always in or a country over from Spain. The furthest I've seen one from Spain is on the border between Spain and France. And it's not like they have the same outline as a 737 or an a320, so I don't just miss them. You know, on the topic of big ugly aircraft, a Boeing Dreamlifter has gone over my house twice now, and I got a picture of one once. Not a good picture by any means, it was mainly just the trail, but it's still technically a picture of the Dreamlifter. Now, if you're even mildly versed in commercial aviation but not all that involved, no, I'm not talking about the Dreamliner, the Dreamlifter is different. If you don't know what it is, you'd be shocked to learn how ugly aircraft can get. It's basically the anti-747. Honestly, I like it more than the Beluga. Not the Super Guppy, though, the NASA Super Guppy is awesome. Not my favorite cargo aircraft by any means, but of the large and not very pretty ones, the Super Guppy is my favorite.
I just experienced the most elite Flight Radar pull ever. I opened it and scrolled around for a moment, not expecting to see much, as I am really bored in study hall, and there is currently a B-52 Stratofortress and a KC-135 Stratotanker flying two states over. Of course, it's still a good two states away, and I am both unable to see across two full states and stuck in a white, cold, and weirdly sterile room with the only windows covered by blinds in case they do happen to come over. Once, though, a P-8 Poseidon was passing over just as I got out of school. I didn't hear or see it, since it was storming that day, but the idea that it went over is nice to think about. Of course, it's far more exciting to actually see the plane, but I'll take what I can get. This is way too long of a post to just be talking about Flight Radar. I'm excited to go home and play ARK, at least. I might have a friend to play with soon, and I've been playing single-player for the thousands of hours I have on ARK thus far, so this is very exciting. Any other volunteers are welcome as long as you play console.
MD-11, DC-10, and L-1011. I'm gonna save the 727 for later since it's so different in terms of structure and features. Tri-jets are so cool
