Periander

Ok, so this is my blind Silkwing OC,
Backstory: a rare biological accident that occured during his Metamorphosis. While spinning his cocoon, a genetic glitch caused his silk glands to overproduce a fine, microscopic "silk dust" inside the sealed chamber.
When he came from his cocoon five days later with his beautiful new wings, his eyes had been irritated and sealed by the internal dust, leading to permanent eye damage. He "traded his sight for his wings," a bittersweet transition that led him to become a master of vibration-sensing.
When Periander finally clawed his way out of that silk casing at age six, the world didn’t go dark—it just went loud. The "silk dust" that ruined his eyes ended up being a strange sort of trade; his brain stopped trying to process light and started hyper-focusing on the air.
Now, his eyes are these eerie, cloudy orbs that look like they’re made of the same iridescent thread that blinded him. But his antennae are the real marvel—they’re oversized and feathered out like moth plumes, constantly twitching to catch every stray breeze. He doesn't just "feel" vibrations; he maps the world through them. He can tell who’s walking toward him by the specific heavy-light rhythm of their talons, and he can "see" a storm brewing miles away just by the way the static shifts against his scales.
He’s not a dragon who needs a guide. In many ways, between his four sensitive wings and those plumed antennae, he’s more aware of his surroundings than any dragon stuck relying on just two eyes.
