the akatsuki is a group of shinobi that exist outside the usual system of the hidden villages. Over the course of several decades, Akatsuki takes different forms and is led by different individuals. Though each iteration is viewed as either subversives or criminals, we sought to make the world a better place through our own means. Each of our branches tend to have multiple lairs across the world, inaccessible either due to our remoteness or the various security measures that protect us.
