just to see how loud it would break.

Did it feel good watching me fall apart
after everything I handed to you
with shaking hands and stupid hope?

I gave you the soft parts of me,
the things I swore I’d never give anyone again,
and you crushed them
like it meant absolutely nothing.

You stood there
watching the damage spread
like cracks in glass,
and you didn’t even bother pretending to care.

So tell me;
was it worth it?

Was ruining someone who trusted you
worth the laugh you got out of it?

picking pieces of myself out of the wreckage
you walked away from so easily,
