I'm learning to study in a way that makes the process enjoyable for me
Here’s how I did this one:
-First, I traced the parts of the reference I didn’t understand, figuring out where each element went
-Then comes my 1 try (on the right), where I looked at the traced reference and repeated after my own lines, but not directly on the reference itself
-Then I drew away from the traced reference, looking only at the clean reference (2 try)
I also tried hard not to draw perfect lines (yk, I love smooth lines) just for the sake of it, but by the end I wasn't really concentrating, so if there are any it's just a habit of making everything perfect, even a learning sketch
@Nix ୭⋆｡˚ (semi-hiatus) It was actually enjoyable, and I'm left with the feeling that I want to do it again :)
:00 wait this actually seems like a rly fun strategy
вааай очень круто

AGH, beautiful colors!
It really reminds me of the prismatic, metallic color scheme of Bismuth crystals :)
woahhh :O so pretty!!
@Ll0ydg4rmad0n 's OC
^^
:0 idk it just looks different tho i suppose i haven't read it in a while lol =w=
@Nix ୭⋆｡˚ (semi-hiatus) If you're talking about gifs, it's been here for some time ^^ Thanks!
Now I miss summer :сс
Now I'm excited for Winter >:)
Your colors are so pretty! And the brushwork is so soft and pleasing to the eye :)
Also, the texture and contrasting yellow you used for the sky (if I'm not mistaken) makes this feel so interesting and surreal :0
i'm still in summer / silly >:3
Felix and Rachel from the game Phonopolis
(I'm not sure if there's even one fanart of this game out there, lmao, although I haven't checked)
Oh wow, that's awesome! :0 It’s always so cool when stuff sticks w/ ya like that :3
@Nix ୭⋆｡˚ (semi-hiatus) It’s quite short. I keep an eye on updates from the studio that developed this game - a few of their projects hold a special place in my heart and have had a big impact on me :)
I think I'm enjoying drawing again
hm
your knowledge of color is amazing!
that kinda looks like clementine from twd
@liliana_stardust thanks! (These double comments again - it’s killing me, magma X_x)
woah i love the way you draw faces!! <3
Just experiments :)
Tysmm y'all!
ooooo really pretty!
I'm fighting with art block by drawing sketches like these
It took me 2 hours in total
And with each drawing (from left to right), I enjoyed both the result and the process more and more
:)
Beautiful artwork!
@Nix ୭⋆｡˚ (semi-hiatus) thanks!1
I've wanted to try this for a long time, so I gave it a shot using these small examples
Below are the three very simplified steps for these two drawings - I highly recommend giving it a try! ^^
@{𝕰𝖓𝖎𝖌𝖒𝖆★❶❸} thanks!1
These are very cute, also would look great on indie games :D love the style!
