So this character has been a part of this story since pretty much the beginning, her name is Mrs. Elridge and she is Dimitri's Literature teacher. Now originally I only planned for her to be a minor character with only a few appearances in the story but as I was deciding on her color pallette I gave her sort of golden eyes, so maybe she'll be more important later on, especially with what she says in this drawing about Dimitri being prepared. Anyways, maybe she'll just be an english teacher, maybe something else, we'll see :)

So this is Yvonna, and also the girl Dimitri likes. She is technically one of Dimitri's friends and spends time with him and the others but often gets pulled away by other duties she has outside of their friendship (school clubs, studying, etc.) Yvonna is somewhat of a perfectionist and uses these things to determine her (self) worth. Thankfully Ada Finn and Dimitri are encouraging her to see herself in other ways and she is slowly getting better at that.

Unrelated to Yvonna, a friend of mine gave me an idea. If you've looked at my previous drawings of my characters you can notice that all of my OC's have a distinct item on them. Dimitri has his scarf(that turns into a hat magic) Keenan has his hoodie (I know super creative) Elena has her bracelet, Ada has her choker, Finn has his bomber/aviator jacket, and now Yvonna has a heart shaped locket. Anyways, Dimitri has magical power that is accessed through his scarf and eventually the rest of them would be able to use these belongings to help Dimitri in his fight against Alaric and other evil spirits/monsters (all of them except Keenan who is controlled by Alaric a good amount of the time). Now these items all happen to actually be gifts from people that they each cared about, so the idea is that these items have to be filled with caring intent from another to be enchanted so the user can see and interact with the spirits. I think it's a pretty cool idea and I think I'll start implementing it into my thoughts and drawings of them. :)

I finally got around to drawing Finn (yay!) He's actually one of my favorite of my OC's in my story (it's either him, Keenan or Ada). Anyways, he's probably to most chill but is up for mischief if Ada suggests it. He and Ada have been best friends since they were little and can be pretty chaotic. They both love to mess with Dimitri, Finn's favortie way of doing that is by using him as an armrest (Dimitri is tiny :) ) Anyways, there's not much of a backstory for him yet but despite his teasing, he really cares about his friends and tries his best to remind them all to enjoy life and not to push too hard. He also has the aviator/ bomber jacket (whatever it's called) that Ada got for him. He used to not really wear jackets much but one day it was really cold and he got sick, the day that he was better she gave him that jacket and now he wears it almost every day :). His design actually changed a good bit from the original, I gave him a slightly darker skin tone (cause why not, he looks awesome, and also gave him green eyes. Originally his eyes were brown but I already have to many brown eyed characters and I thought it would look cool. I may change the hair in the future to maybe be more curly (if I can figure out how to effectively draw curly hair, but otherwise I really like his desgin. :)

This is another one of my characters Ada and I think she's pretty awesome. She and her best friend, Finn, are the troublemakers of the main group of characters in this little story of mine. She's a pretty small person but is the designated "cool person" of their friend group. Her and Finn like messing with Dimitri a lot (teasing him about various things) but they care a lot about him. The little dialogue that I but in the drawing is a scene where Dimitri is about to go off on his own to do something dangerous and she drops her usual teasing and joking demeanor to make sure he knows that he has someone to ask for help. I don't have a ton of background information for her, but I really like her. I'll definitely draw her again soon. :)

So this one took me way longer than it should have. Anyway, this is Elena, Dimitri's older sister. She's a good bit older than her brother, when the story is taking place, Dimitri is sixteen and she is 24. She had to start taking care of him when she was 18 (When their mother and father died) so she had to grow up pretty fast. She was thankfully able to get a job that allowed her to support her and Dimitri well enough. She also has the ability to see the spirits but not as intensely as Dimitri so she can't do much about them. In the same way that Dimitri has his scarf which connects him to the magical side of their world, Elena has a special braclet that does the same or similar for her. She's a sort of parental figure that would be reoccuring throughout the story. She's one of the few people that Dimitri actually looks up to and relaxes around. She's also a great cook and Dimitri loves everything she makes (but especially any sort of pasta she cooks). She also makes sure that Dimitri takes care of himself. Dimitri often spends nights out dealing with evil spirits who come out at night rather than during the day which is why he is often tired during the day. Elena allows him to do this but sometimes forces him to stay home and get sleep, she is one of the few people that actually scare Dimitri. In this drawing I drew her in just a plain T-shirt because she doesn't usually fuss about her appearance and wears a variety of simple clothes, but on the off chance that she dresses up she is incredibly pretty. Anyways, I'll probably draw her again sometime soon but hopefully she doesn't take me hours to draw like today :) (btw, for those who actually read through my rambles of lore, sorry they're so long, and thank you)

I've been out and about a lot today so I only got to this an hour or so ago and I don't love it but it's okay. Anyways, here's a bit of pre Alaric Keenan. I decided on the color purple for Keenan because it's sort of close to red which is Alaric's main color, and I think it works well for Keenan's character. Keenan is a really quiet character and dislikes loud spaces, though he also uses this as an excuse to get away from people. He keeps away from people a lot. He is technically friends with Dimitri and his friend group but is often left out unintentionally by them. His aversion to loud noises is actually a result of him being around during a lot of arguments between people he is or was close to. This is actually what led Alaric to Keenan. Alaric feeds off of despair or other negative emotions and Keenan was teeming with them when Alaric awoke. Keenana often tries his best to act like nothing is wrong and most people don't question it and think he's just too shy to interact with people. Keenan does want to be friends with people but is just afraid because of his past experience with "friends". Eventually Alaric takes almost full control of Keenana which leads to several interactions with Dimitri and Keenan being able to see the good and evil spirits just like Dimitri can. I'll probably draw him later in his more taken over form. :)

So yesterday was October 1st and I didn't actually draw anything even thouhg I want to draw at least one thing a day, so here's another one. This is Alaric in one of his weaker forms. This is after he regains some of his power. Alaric is also called The Ancient One. His power was surpressed for a long time by mages but recently the amount of mages in the world has decreased greatly and he has been regainning power increasingly fast. He feeds off of despair, pain, etc. and my character Keenan has become a host for Alaric (not fully willingly) because Keenan has a lot of concealed pain and similar to Dimitri keeps people at an arms reach because he doesn't fully feel worthy of them (kind of depressing I know, but it's for the story. He'll get better eventually). Anyways Alaric in this has fed off a lot of despair from Keenan and a lot of other people and will eventually reach his ultimate form, and it's Dimitri's job to stop him. I'm genuinely so invested in this world I've created yet I have hardly written anything, hopefully that will change :)

So I decided to draw dimitri in a more intense way. This is from some kid of scene where he is face the big bad Alaric and his friends and family are threatened. Dimitri often acts like he doesn't care all that much, keeping people at an arms length for reasons I may disclose in future drawings. Anyways, he becomes incredibly intense and his magical powers flare up when he fights like this. I also chose to give his powers a green color to contrast the red that Alaric is represented by. Anyways, beyond this piece, I'm planning to draw Dimitri or the other characters from my story a lot this month so I can draw more than recently, so I'm going to try to draw and post at least one a day, so this'll be fun :)

So, I drew dimitri again. I wanted to give him a slightly different look. Kind of more realistic, but not really. I wanted to change it to match the style of another drawing that would take place in the same universe and I like the style better. This is obviously just a sketch, but I might do a more in detail drawing of some scene.

So.. I really wanted to draw some kind of villain character. This is what I think was near the beginning where he starts leaning into the evil side a bit more, even though he originally didn't want anything bad to happpen... if that makes sense. Anyway, I really like this drawing actually, so maybe I'll draw a full on villain version of him. :)

So.. I drew Dimitri again. This one's just a pretty simple drawing to just show what he looks like a little better than my first drawing of him that I posted the other day. His color pallete is a little boring, mostly brown but I think what sets him apart from other characters in this sort of universe I came up with is his scarf. He's the only one out of the group of characters I have with a scarf and each of the main character also have some defining trait (leather jacket, necklace, aviators jacket, etc..) and despite a slightly boring color pallete I enloy drawing him quite a bit. I'll probably draw a more in depth version sometime soon. :)

Hey :). So this is my first post made on this account, I have a seperate account linked in this one but I probably won't use it as much. Anyway... This was a drawing of a scene I came up with around a month ago. I just picked up some paper and started drawing, and poof, Dimitri came to be. A bit of info on him. My character Dimitri is a mage in modern times, whether he wants to be or not, while he may not look much like a mage, his scarf conceals his sort of identification (I also just like drawing scarves). The small cat floating beside him is called mercury, who always stays by his side even if Dimitri finds him annoying. In this world there are dangers that only mages or witches such as Dimitri can see, and while the damage is invisible to the human eye, the magical world hidden among it is in ruins. Dimitri is one of the people who is supposed to stop any evil going ons but just wants to live a normal life. That's the main stuff that I have about him, I may make drawings of him and some of his friends that I've also designed. Will the story go anywhere, maybe. Will I continue to draw these characters of mine? Absolutely :)
