I feel like I need to state this to the whole universe because not just quite a bit of people in real life have ask me this but so have a few people online aswell.
I am NOT Autistic.
I repeat.
I am not Autistic.
I have two family members who are Autistic and I take offense to being ask if I am Autistic just because I am neurodivergent or have an obsession(s) or have an aversion to CERTAIN textures, because it is demeaning to what Autism means.
If you're going around and calling everyone and everything Autistic just because they are slightly different makes the struggles and oppression actual people with Autism go through seem less or even non-existent.
It beyond annoys me and I wish for people to stop asking.
It doesn't annoy me because I'm being called Autistic it's more of the fact the people who have asked me don't know what it is and go around calling others AND THEMSELVES Autistic.
Please do your research, it's not THAT hard I promise.
Things that I am/have, however;
-OCD (Obsessive Compulsive Disorder).
-Recurring depressive episodes of a week or more.
-Severe Abandonment issues.
-Anxiety disorder.
-Misophonia and haphephobia.
I will be pinning this to the top of my posts since apparently I need to. I'm not mad per-say, just, kinda tired of it.
If you read through all of this; Thank you and have a one!

Oh yes. I forgot to mention that.
The aversion to textures thing is misotactia/texture sensitivity
