It was a really difficult decision to make, but I am moving to a new account. To protect my privacy, this new account will be completely private. I won’t be sharing the username or any details, and I’ll be starting entirely from scratch with a new name and a new sona.
Out of respect for everyone who has followed and supported my art journey here, I owe you an explanation. For months, an ex boyfriend of mine has had unauthorized access to this account. Whenever he was angry, he would harass and threaten me, saying he would delete the account and all of my drawings himself. I tried changing the password, the linked email address, and even contacted support, but nothing ever worked. He always found a way to keep his access.
We fought constantly. He would promise he had logged out, but he always lied, and the threats and harassment never stopped. He would harass me just for talking to anyone, reading my private chats with random people and starting vicious fights over basic compliments. I am completely exhausted and tired of living in fear.
At first, I tried to endure it all in silence, not making much trouble out of it. If I couldn't bring myself to abandon or do anything about this account, it was because of how deeply I cared about all of you, the incredible connections and bonds I've built, the follower count I watched grow, and every single person who genuinely loved what I did and knew me simply as Ego. Letting go felt like losing a piece of my heart.
I truly hope you can understand my situation, and I am so deeply sorry. I will never go online by Ego again, and I won’t share my new account so that he can never find it.
