Ruth, when she was young, worked at a circus as a part-time job for fun and, as palace protocol, was a scout searching for new territory every other day. She would also sometimes sneak away to hunt during her working hours with her friend Rattle. (Rattle would also usually blame Ruth for the idea in the first place when they got caught.)

A little fact about Ruth's species is that, as you know, they are blind. When they are young 0-5 they have partial vision and lose it over time during those years. They still have to work when their older cause they have a good sense of hearing and a decent sense of smell, so they can basically create a world to go around by their senses (if you ever watched Wolfwalkers, it's kinda how the wolves can shape the world through smells)

btw I might change small things as I go on cause i keep creating new little facts and ideas, so like, for instance, in my first post about Ruth I said they're blind at birth, but I just changed it. So it might be a little idk confusing at times, but I'll try to make it make sense!

This is my art for the contest, my sister @C.M. , and I worked hard on this, and I hope people like it <3

after Rattle murderd her victim, some one heard across the palace and came to find out what all the noise was, she opened the door and stepped cautiously into the room while Rattle stands there over the body currently making her silent escape knowing Ruth cant see her with the star in her paws through the window. Ruth steps forward again slowly, and stepped on something wet, she bent to sniff it, slightly gracing her snout, and to her horror, it was the awfully familiar scent of blood.

MWAHAHAAHA cliff hanger because I'm evil >:3 I'll be posting more in the future so stay tuned if your interested on what happens next! (the lore WILL be out of order so you'll have to be the one to put it back together >:D ) /silly but also serious

Rattle was once higher up in the hierarchy, helping the being on the throne (wont say the name for funnsyios >:3[also is based of a golden tiger]) witch is why she has small wings on her head signaly to be treated more spoiled (basically there are different meanings to how many wings u have is how much respect deserved for you most creatures don't have them) but somthing happend to her and stole somthing.. what was it that made them so angry? So angry to start a..........war?!?
