Ruth, when she was young, worked at a circus as a part-time job for fun and, as palace protocol, was a scout searching for new territory every other day. She would also sometimes sneak away to hunt during her working hours with her friend Rattle. (Rattle would also usually blame Ruth for the idea in the first place when they got caught.)
A little fact about Ruth's species is that, as you know, they are blind. When they are young 0-5 they have partial vision and lose it over time during those years. They still have to work when their older cause they have a good sense of hearing and a decent sense of smell, so they can basically create a world to go around by their senses (if you ever watched Wolfwalkers, it's kinda how the wolves can shape the world through smells)
btw I might change small things as I go on cause i keep creating new little facts and ideas, so like, for instance, in my first post about Ruth I said they're blind at birth, but I just changed it. So it might be a little idk confusing at times, but I'll try to make it make sense!
Her name is Ruth, and my sis and I created her for my book. She is based on a Bat and a fennec fox! :>
