To the artists out there, advanced or beginners, don't forget that every art piece you make is beautiful in every way. Don't let anyone discourage you to continue drawing the things you want.
Honestly ever since I was little, I wanted to be an artist but my parents disagreed. It really put me down, because art was my escape. So if you're sure that art is your true goal, then stick with it. I know I probably will never be able to pursue an arts career anymore, but I won't stop praying for those who do want to succeed in arts!
Keep living up and continue coloring the world with joy and beauty. I'm rooting for you all!

Sorry I haven't posted in a while, I got into an artist's block over the summer and I completely forgot about magma until a friend "gently" reminded me to start drawing again,@⁰² cloverin ᛝ , I'm looking at you.

Originally this was a scene from a story (not published yet) my friends, Evelyn Shao and Kai Shao, wrote, (called a Wish Upon a Cloud) where a girl named Izumi boards a flying ship to travel to a Kingdom in the clouds, where a magical stone lies (the stone grants wishes). She intends to use the magical stone to cure her ill father, but he dies before she makes her wish.
I wanted to draw this scene because it was a sad and magical moment in the story, and I love listening to Evelyn explain her story ideas. The way her eyes light up every time she talks about her ideas always inspire me to see the same way about my art. At the same time, I wouldn't have drew this without Kai, but his relentless begging and convincing eventually made me decide to draw this piece.
"A real friend walks in when the rest of the world walks out." - Walter Winchell. None of my other friends really though I would be able to pull this off, so thank you Evelyn and Kai, for sticking to my side through thick and thin, and believing me before the world would. <3 <3 <3

I know I'm a month late, and I apologize for not getting it finished faster, but it was a very fun experience for me to draw something new.
