Once upon a time, there was a little girl who got her iPad privileges taken away; therefore, she couldn't draw on Magma with her Apple Pencil anymore. This is when she decided to suck it up and try drawing with her finger. About one year later, guess who got their iPad privileges taken away and is a bit better at drawing with their fingers now.
Marcus Sanches (First Orion, then Marcus De'Anda) is my oldest and favorite OC; however, that means he's gone through a lot of changes. From starting as an over-the-top academic twink with a bow tie to a much more manly jorts-wearing astronomy nerd to a blind magical being, Marcus has not only helped me finally learn how to draw guys, but honestly, learn to accept the weird little creative part in myself. Now, I wear star shapped earings everyday, try to doodle a new scene or outfit or pose that he's in every day, and catch myself always looking at something purple.
So, with all of Marcus' and my development, I want to thank the main people who played a part in his evolution

Kirki- you were the one person on that moodboard jam that I became friends with; you started my obsession with this stupid little space guy, and I hope our OCs are still friends despite all of the changes Marcus has been through. He still gets Apple Bottom Jeans stuck in his head now and then.

AJ- I had to search for that Jam I was in with you all those months ago, but I had to find it for this post. Though we were definitely more aggressive than passive-aggressive, you started me on finding my style of line art. You said it would look better if I drew the hair before the head, and I still do.

Shroom- you are probably my closest friend on this app. I found a part of myself I didn't even know existed before I met you. I had basically developed my character, but you helped me connect, and for that I am forever grateful. That night I met you, I stayed up until 4 in the morning just talking with you, and I enjoyed every second of it. It makes my day when, every blue moon, I check Magma during school and I see you online. You are the sweetest, loveliest, kindest blessing by the stars I have ever met.

I regret to inform my total of 35 followers that art will not be posted anytime soon. My mortal parents have taken away my iPad and pencil and have yet to tell me when I will be getting them back. I am currently typing this on my school-issued device, surprised they have not banned Magma yet. So it will be finger drawings for now (I am not an iBis piant finger drawer). This might, however, be a blessing by the stars shadowed by the moon. Restricted from my devices was the exact environment I was in when I created one of my favorite OCs, Marcus. Anyways, you'll see me on jams; if you do, please remind me to lock in on my schoolwork, because I'm more than likely avoiding it.

Hello my stars, I am so sorry I have been out for so very long, but fortunately, I am back. To be honest with y’all, I got a bit burnt out, I had started this giant story project and it really took a lot out of me. But luckily I was able to pull back, take a couple of vacations, was able to be more present in my family and relationship, and was able to regain my mental peace with the stars. I might not be posting quite as much as I used to because I don’t want to get caught up in feeling like I’m required to do something that should be enjoyable. I might just be doodling on jams rather than pushing my full artworks ever other day, but here’s to say, I am back, and this time, I’m here to stay.

That’s me…. Drawing my next four posts instead of writing the posts and lore because I’m too lazy. :]

One eventful day about three to four months ago, I drew my first-ever male OC, Marcus. I have been drawing and developing my own art style since the ripe age of 7, and never once since then have I made a male OC that has truly stuck with me. However, ever since I drew Marcus (which was in a random jam, by the way), I couldn’t stop. Since then, I’ve actually learned, shout out Pinterest, how to draw males and masculine-portraying characters! In a way, I’ve been so caught up in drawing masc characters that I forgot how to draw fem ones. So, I have my little baby boy Marcus to thank for that!! The only problem with my OC Marcus is… well… I de-OC-ified him. He has no magic, no trauma, both parents, healthy relationships with both of them, is a college student, and is a regular human that you would see every other day. This is absolutely UNACCEPTABLE!!! So, I just put him in a different setting. I put him in West Throgh, as the fortune teller of Manibus.

As a young adult, Marcus Sanches grew up around fairy tales from all over Throgh. His parents owned a small bookshop that collected stories from everywhere, even the surrounding countries like Lekindor or Aribeilul. Magical creatures, wizards, monsters, evil fae, and sea nymphs. However, his favorite stories weren’t the ones that happened on the ground or in the sea, but those of the sky. He loved hearing about the stars and their mystical ways of telling people if they should be in love, what the past held, and what the future might hold. One day, as a small child, he was reading a mystical story from Reialania of an interdimention that gives you another chance at life and helps you sustain your life through magical gifts. So, when his family’s bookshop caught fire, he knew exactly what to do, praying to the reach that the stories were true. And while the reach did grant him the ability to see the future, because he was prepared for when he was going to die, they took away his ability to see the present, feeling that he was too prepared and in a way cheated death.

I have finally come up with a story idea, and Lensha Ok’Yaru is just a side character. Here’s a quick preview!

In a world where magic is rare, and the only beings that possess it is the Ankala family, what must one do to hide the power of their hands? In reality, the Royal Ankalas, who have puts themselves as gods among West Throgh, have told no one of the one change you get at escaping death, the reach, how to go in it, and the magic you acquire afterward. Some, however, have found the reach, and when captured, are executed. But, there are the rebellious few, as there always are, that have found magic, and have ran from the Ankalas, those who choose to not to be blind to the power that resides in your body, and those are the actors in Manibus. This is a Carnival that spreads the idea that magic can be utilized by anyone, not just the royal family. Run by the Fláge family for centuries, they have truly found the secret to channeling power, through the hands, for the hands are the things that connect people to each other, connect us with the earth, and are one of our most utilized body parts.

Their fire dancer and fill in acrobat, Lensha Ok’Yaru is a native from South Throgh. When he was twelve, still learning up how to hunt with his tribe, he was to flamboyant with his ways. Walking too tall, loud feet, and eccentric hands, and this is what almost got him killed. A wild kakara (a mix in between a boar and an elephant) had attacked him, perceiving his loud body language as a threat. He wouldn’t have survived if he had not reached on to his live so desperately, and the reach granted him for doing that. After he woke, he was covered in blue markings where he was stabbed by tusks and injured in any other way. His tribe banished him, believing he was involved in evil witchcraft. That’s when he met Flage, they took him in, seeing the magic around him, for it was very strong. They found that he could hypnotize humans through dance, much as an animal would attract a mate. He lures in costumers with his foreign dances, his body and hand movements captivating and the human mind can only take so much. For the power is in your hands.

I just happened to be watching ride the cyclone edits and happen to stumble upon one of Noel’s Lament with ocean in the background in the most dramatic pose I have ever seen. So originally I was going to just draw Ocean, but it somehow evolved into this because I am scared of drawing women. I am not too sure of a name yet, however I did start brainstorming a story.

Every 168 years, a child is born, blessed by the stars with the ability to manipulate the human mind in some way, shape, or form. This one, was given the gift of dance, however if he is not in a constant state of motion, he will join the other mind influencers before him to the grave.

Unfortunately that’s all I have so far, but if you can think of another name or a cooler origin, please let me know!

Epic: The Musical is a musical by Jorge Rivara-Herrens about Homer's Epic Poem "The Odyssey." Following Odysseus and his ten-year journey back home to his wife and son on the island of Ithaca. On the way over there, Odysseus learns the important balance of ruthlessness and mercy. I love the music and the theory behind the songs and melodies, and it's all just so inspiring to me! For the longest time, this has been a fan-made production, composed of Jorge Rivara-Harrens' music and animatics by fans; however, with the recognition the musical has recently gotten, it is being turned into a full animated film, produced by Jerry Bruckheimer (Pirates of the Caribbean), along with Jorge Rivara-Harrens. Here, I drew Odysseus trying out a new style! Since I recently broke my Apple Pencil, I'm having to do the majority of my art with my finger, so to say this was a challenge is an understatement. I will hopefully be posting more Epic: The Musical-inspired art, mainly because I am super enthusiastic about the movie coming out! Hair is difficult; I do not enjoy it.

When the world falls quiet, and light begins to fade, you call out into the unknown, and voices answer. In a world of isolation, when the mind fractures, who is there to keep you sane but yourself? The connection you have to the rest of the world breaks. You call out for help, and the response comes back in echoes.
You might be puzzled by this post, but in reality, this is just my marching band show for next year! In a mindscape of music, we find ourselves on the field. I do find it troubling, however, how our show is about the echoes in an isolated tundra, while it will be over 100 degrees when we practice on it. But more on topic, I was just very excited for this show, especially since we're getting new marching uniforms!

For those of you who are unaware, indoor percussion is similar to a marching band show, however, done on a basketball court with only percussion instruments. WGI World Competition was of recent, and I am honored to be apart of the same band program as some of the percussionists that made it to the world finals! Now, I didn’t participate in indoor because percussion isn’t my main instrument, however a couple of my friends did and I would like to pay recognition to them and anyone else that as participated in the grueling sport. Here I drew one of my friends who plays snare drum in her uniform. I did mess it up a bit, but I wasn’t looking too hard at their uniforms.

I would like to apologize for my lack of posting and being online in general. You see, I am normally drawing on either my iPad or school issued device if I am grounded, however, I Apple Pencil has recently decided that it doesn’t like chargers or me anymore. So now I am stuck with drawing with my finger, and I admit I am not the best at it. So here’s a little sketch of what I was wearing today because I felt like I needed to post and I was really proud of it :] I also got complemented in band on my pants and it made me really happy, so that’s what the silly little doodle is down there with the resemblance of a tenor saxophone.

Hello, my stars. This is less about any art or projects and more about safety. Now, a lot of conflicts are going on in the world, and I thought I might bring them up. I'm not much of a fan of politics, but this isn't politics at this point. This is life or death.
If you haven't heard, the United States of America is currently at war with Iran. This causes gas prices to rise and a tyrannical leader to gain power. Donald Trump, the United States current president, has threatened Iran with destruction if they do not open the Strait and stop making nuclear weapons. He made a social media post stating this and explaining that "a whole civilization will die tonight." Leaving them with the ultimatum of compromise or death. Now I do not support the things that Iran does; however, the US isn't much better.
If Iran doesn't comply, Trump will litter the country with bombs. The thing is, Iran can't reach the US with their bombs; however, Iran's bombing will activate Russia and China, who can reach the US.
Unfortunately, if Trump does bomb Iran, bombs will come for us, mainly where I live in the south. I live in a town with an Air Force intelligence base, surrounded by many other bases. Gas will be going up to the point where people can not buy it, towns will be blown up, people will die, and I will most likely be dead within the next week. I will be posting updates throughout the week, but for what it's worth, this is my message.
Do it. Ask them out, read that book, watch the movie, pray to that god, and eat that thing that smells really bad but looks really good. Don't regret anything, do the dumb things, jump the fence, smoke the weed, get the tattoo that you're going to regret later, but it's ok because at a time it was the only thing you ever wanted. Life is too short. I have lived among you mortals, and I have fallen in love with you. I have felt love and hate and sadness and joy, and I have cried and laughed, all because of you. Yes you. I know I'm just fingers on a keyboard, but if you've read this far, take what I'm saying and apply it to your life. I don't know if I'll get the privilege of a lengthy life, so use yours to your advantage. Never say "I want to be," or "I wish I had," or even "I wish I were." Don't allow yourself to regret. Collects human organs so he doesn’t have to murder people when his permanently borrowed ones start falling
His card represent poor beginnings or a suffering child
When drawn upside down, it can represent gluttony or emptiness within the soul

Good morning, midday, midnight, or miscellaneous. I'm sorry that I haven't been online or posting as much as I used to. I've noticed I've been tiring more easily and quickly than at the beginning of the year, and, honestly, have been very uninspired and unmotivated.
So, I've made it a point not only to draw more, but also to be more creative and social in my art. Therefore, I would like to do a little project with anyone who would like to participate! I've always admired how whimsical and magical tarot cards are, in terms of their use, design, and characters! I also have recently read a book that has a spin-off of tarot cards called "The Deck of Destiny" (the book series Caraval and Once Upon a Broken Heart by Stephanie Garber). So I've decided to make my own deck of these fortune-telling cards made with YOUR, yes YOUR VERY OWN CHARACTERS, that have everything to the characters' backstories, design, and what it means if they were laid out in front of you. If you already have everything planned out, then I will gladly be able to use that, but if not, I will gladly make up backstories and names and how they can fit into other people's stories!
I'm calling these cards "The Star Cards," very basic, I'm aware. If you have any better name ideas, please let me know! Now this deck will be filled with evil, pure, and neutral characters, different backstories, intertwining lore, and so much more.
However, I do have one requirement when it comes to these characters (And I will, of course, help you with this if you want; I don't want this project to be limited to anyone). I would like them to bring something to the world that we have in ours, whether that be a certain flower, plant, piece of literature, or something important that happened in history. This can range from a constellation to something that we see every day, such as the red rose.

Oh my stars, this jam was so amazing. I was planning on joining plenty more tonight, but I got stuck on this one and was talking with all of these amazing people until it was nearly four in the morning! Everyone in this jam was so kind and inspirational, and it was truly an honor to be in their presence. Happy Saint Patrick's Day!!! I was going through my old sketchbooks for some inspo, because younger me was always more creative, and found this. I remember being really proud of it, and I just know that younger me would love to share this with the world, even if it was just a year and a half later. For those of you who dont know, this is Curly, a character from the popular indie video game "Mouthwashing". I dont know what it was about him, but his character design and his whole story just stuck with me for some reason. Maybe it was his trauma, his vulnerability, or maybe it was the fact that he was the only one who was able to get through it all. Anyways, hope y'all get a kick out of my old stuff!
