What I usually do is I’ll get a clip layer and cover the entire thing in black, lower the opacity. Then I’ll erase the parts where light hits. I do this so that when I shadow it doesn’t look like I’m guessing where the shadows might go, and it doesn’t make me nervous to have big shadows. This works best for me, I’m not sure how other people do it, but that’s what I do lol
