Disclaimer: non-pg stuff will be posted. I post when I'm able to, and probably won't have a consistent theme to everything. If it looks like my style change(s), that's because I'm still settling on one (i draw in different ways) and sometimes when I use a ref, it changes a bit.
ꨄ︎Enjoy my lovesꨄ︎
Beneath the ribs, a hollow clock,
its hands not gold, but sinew, shock—
each tick a debt it cannot pay,
each tock a name it chews to clay.
Oh, faithful thing, so red, so raw,
you count the cost of every flaw:
the love too sharp, the trust too deep,
the promises you swallowed in sleep.
They told you once, "This organ sings,"
but you and I? We know the strings
are frayed with teeth-marks, tight with rust,
and all your music tastes of dust.
You beat, you break, you beg, you bleed,
a metronome for greed and need.
The surgeons map your chambers’ maze,
but none dare name the thing that stays—
that second pulse, the echoed knock,
the something writhing ‘neath the lock.
Not blood, not bone, not God’s design,
but mine, mine, mine—
and it is alive.
