Sorry I haven't been posting much, I'm currently trying to learn more traditional art instead of digital.
Also trying to learn more theory and methods behind art, and that doesn't make for a pretty post XD
Speaking of which....anyone got any recommendations for learning the fundamentals of art? Specifically I'm trying to focus on form (3d shapes, basic perspective) and people, so general anatomy and portrait skills.

also, is it just me or are magma functions disappearing? you used to be able to sort live jams by activity and creation date (most recent). But I can find that anymore, is it there and I'm just not seeing it?

Hello everyone, hope you're doing well today! Just gonna post a quick update on where things are for me right now.
Why I haven't been very active on magma:
Long story short, college and mental health issues took up a lot of my time, (along with traditional art) now that school is coming to a close for the summer I hope to start drawing more! Hopefully I'll be able to sort my life out and post some more artwork then!
On that note: what kind of artwork would y'all like to see from me? Some fanart? more studies? OC/world-building concept art? (lore based artwork), etc etc! (suggestions welcome!)
Following that: would y'all like me to post more unpolished sketches/artwork? I typically only post my best pieces, but I can post here more often, or just make a alt for doodles/sketches.

Where I'm at with art:
Burnout, not sure if anyone else can relate but I've been been in a constant state of burnout ever since the first day I picked up a pencil and started drawing again. Kind of sucks, and is pretty demotivating to create art these days. Anyone have advice for overcoming burnout?

Absolutely stunning work here by alec.aleks, really underrated artist! They deserve far more followers then me, go follow them!
Really love the way the detail is laid out in the piece. I'm not sure if it's a wip, but I love how the face is fully rendered and it loses detail as you continue down.
And don't worry, they solved the problem mentioned in the description.
