Artist Spotlights: @Ben Oni and @Irongears

Ben Watson, known as @Ben Oni on Magma, is an illustrator who currently works as a screen printing studio tech and community educator teaching drawing, digital art, and printmaking at the Innovation Hub in North Little Rock, Arkansas. He enjoys working with digital and traditional media for zines, group gallery shows, comics, and building worlds and stories with friends through TTRPGs. The themes and style of his work are influenced by the grounded storytelling of Hayao Miyazaki and Shaun Tan, and the graphic qualities of Mike Mignola and Sergio Toppi.

Eric Olson, or @Irongears, is an engineer and artist from California who works in traditional and digital media. He enjoys accentuating technical details and building imaginary worlds. He enjoys art-making as a tool to explore and observe the world around him through plein air painting and wrangle an overactive imagination.
