Here is a niffang Oc I drew on a bus.

A portrait of a Liver, an alien native to the planet Life. The flatness of this one's skull identifies it as a male; females have round heads, like humans. Livers have pointed ears that are notched at the tip, like a snake's toungue. This helps them pinpoint where sound is coming from.
(I drew this on the Penup app; I was experienenting with shading and a certain brush. )
Native to the planet Life, Nifangs, also dubbed "spider octopuses," are found in caves and other damp and moist places. Its name means "four fang," in the native toungue, drawing attention to its four limbs and fangs. Mainly feasting on small creatures it catches in its webs, it can have various numbers of eyes, but always two large ones surrounded by smaller eyes. Ranging from rat sized to the size off a house cat, these creatures are curious and usually no threat to creatures other than its prey. When threatened, it releases venom through its fangs, which, when used on small creatures, can instantly paralize and kill, but in larger creatures, its venom causes numbness and or paralysis, allowing it to escape. As an alternative defense, it releases webs which cause its attackers to get tangled. It has no bones, allowing it to squeeze through narrow passages. It is as at home on the ground as on the ceiling, its limbs being coated with suckers that allow it to cling to all manner of surfaces.
These were nifangs I drew in various artjams I joined. I collected them here so I could have a hoard of spider octopi. :)
