So I'm working on a new commission and hit a problem I FORGOT HOW TO DRAW!?! And that's despite drawing in Magma regularly. For some reason I just froze up when it came to stuff that used to be easy for me. Now every step takes an absurd amount of effort, I can't pick colors by eye anymore, and rendering? Don't even get me started...
After some hardcore art psychoanalysis with professional artists (my friends), we realised the issue was that by drawing in Magma for so long, I'd completely skipped out on actually learning (They told me off..) Even with references, I was basically just copying everything without thinking about what I was drawing or how it works
So I've decided to take a break from Magma and spend that time on studies and breaking down my own style. I know I could do study in Magma too, but the chances of me getting distracted by a jam or just mindlessly copying a picture for some likes are way too high. But I'll be back here soon enough, once I'm feeling a bit more confident in my drawing!

First off, you're not a joke, and I really hope you know that ! I've been having the same problem myself. I used to post frequently on this account, but over time, I've taken so much of my art down because of my own frustrations and insecurities. So I completely understand how you feel, and I'm sure others here can relate too. Please don't feel pressured to rush yourself or come back before you're ready. Take all the time you need to learn, grow, and find your confidence again. I hope you know that your art is still amazing, even if you're struggling with it right now, and I really hope you can enjoy drawing again without putting so much pressure on yourself. I'll be looking forward to seeing you and your art whenever you feel ready to come back !! Take care !! 🫶
