Its communication system does not rely on audio-based codes but rather on non-verbal interaction. It requires a more visual and interpretive style of communication. The unit strives to make itself understood as simply as possible.
Over time, it has dedicated itself to exploring this system further, even managing to display visual facial expressions via its hologram.

Its superstructure is far more mechanical than electrical, relying primarily on combustion-based power. This entails both pros and cons: the advantages include a more compact system and more effective troubleshooting; the disadvantages include high pollution levels, causing an environmental catastrophe on the surface at the end of every cycle and constant noise.

The "Buried Transmission" was eventually superseded by various systems that surpassed its technology over time; consequently, it is no longer a widely used iterator, though it remains recognized as a historic messenger.
However, since iterators do not easily cease to function, many models have evolved since its inception, ensuring its continued utility in specific models such as the T.O.T.A. (The One That Answers).
The term "Buried Transmission" stems from how it is perceived by iterators running more recent model versions. Indeed, many of these iterators are often surprised—and relieved—by the I.I.R.M.'s stable condition.
