The Restless Dreamers (V2)

Long ago, the myriad kingdoms of LostBrook lived among one-another in everlasting peace.

The people of this world, the Thingamajigs, lived carefree lives composed mostly of eating, playing, and napping.

Though they came in all shapes, sizes, and distances apart, they were united in that they were all beings born of the same primordial ooze, and under the same creator: Klourm.

However, all good things must come to an end. One day, without warning, Klourm abandoned LostBrook.
The planet was left in a half-baked state, the people left to fend for themselves in a world becoming increasingly less meant for them.

None could have served as a more obvious omen than The OHNE.

Ever since the disappearance of their god, Klourm, LostBrook had always had to deal with the aftermath of his lack of maintenance - the looming threat of the planet completely tearing at the seams was a constant thought in every Thingamajig’s mind for many years.

The OHNE took advantage of the world’s instability, creating wells of pure darkness - gateways to its home dimension - known as “LastBrooks”, named as such for their dreadful description: The Oasises seen at the end of the world. The last babbling brooks 'fore apathy takes us all.

The OHNE sought to further accelerate the planet’s destruction until everything was reduced to zero.
A relentless parasite from the far reaches of space, it considered this a routine.

Perhaps it was jealousy, and not simple hunger that drove it to such destructive capabilities.
The OHNE is a very, very lonely being.
So, when it saw LostBrook , a place where everyone is friendly and tolerant to one another, it must have become very envious, indeed.
The OHNE has no teeth to smile with, nor a voice to say,
“Be my friend.”

Regardless, to combat the OHNE’s malevolent intentions, the Thingamajigs came together to found the PROPHECY.

It spoke of 3 individuals of varying upbringings, with the assistance of a spectral being of great power, who could motivate to seal off a LastBrook for good, weakening the OHNE’s presence a little more each time.

Sealing them all would allow them to defeat it in combat, causing it to retreat to the moon for another century in order to heal.
And, then, regrettably, the cycle would repeat.

For millennia, LostBrook has abided by the prophecy, and for centuries, LostBrook has remained as secure as it could possibly be.

Therefore, it must be right! It must be!

It must be.
