Giving roses as a romantic gift is really funny to me because they look beautiful but they hurt those who dare to touch them, even if it's not purposeful. So I see them as a kind of symbol for loving people (or trying to love people) but hurting them in the process. Or maybe its just my autistic + Aroace @$$.
