If you're wondering why Dariel's face doesn't get hidden like Laure's does, that's because Dariel's more personal and relevant to an extent where he's scarier with a face than without, the face humanizes Laure and I don't wanna do that but Dariel is scarier when you acknowledge he's human

Just realizing Aaren and Gerard Way are both he/they with severe depression and anxiety and dye their hair often and Gee is often compared to a vampire and Aaren is a vampire... if Aaren lived in the real world, he'd probably idolize them lol.

I wanted it to be a thing where the entire wing could move... but guess what? Right after I glued everything down, the joint in the shoulder broke and I couldn't fix it. So I just made it look like it worked but actually only part of the wing moves.
So... Sorry, Fukase, your son is now paralyzed in the shoulder.
(The other wing is hidden under his cloak, which has wing slits, so he can hide his wings but also quickly un-hide them if he needs to fly)

He was addicted to laudanum for a bit of his life, and he's the only character with an addiction who I have, so I drew him for National Recovery Month, which focuses on spreading awareness for recovery from substance abuse (among other mental health stuff) :D

Aaren for National Hispanic and Latine Heritage Month! Technically this is like 13 days early since it starts on the 15th, ah well ;-;
It was hard trying to choose a month to draw for September. There's also a month for recovery from substance abuse and I wanted to draw Auguste for that (I had no idea my character who had an addiction died in recovery month ;-;) and there's also suicide prevention month which would be another Aaren so... I guess I'm probably gonna draw multiple stuff this year if I have time :D Just for September because my birthday is in that month
They're both Hispanic and Latine, but in a somewhat odd way... Their mom is Latina but not Hispanic, and their dad is Hispanic but not Latino. So Aaren ends up with both the Hispanic and Latine parts. This wasn't even intentional, lol, he just turned out that way.
I wasn't sure what symbol I should use, since this is a heritage month thing and I am neither Hispanic nor Latine... so I used the red carnation because I think that's Spain's national flower? Hope that's right lol.

@bananananya drew something really similar to my original idea (Auguste dying of tuberculosis) so I decided to draw Auguste's coffin instead. Hmmmmm I wonder why it's empty...
It's lasso tool only as a throwback to my first drawing of Auguste a while back, which was lasso only :D

Fun fact: When Naël got impaled 166 years before his skeleton was found, it was only just a relatively small branch... The young tree looked at his (magically fossilized) skeleton and thought "weird rock got stuck on me? np, I'm gonna grow around it until it just gets swallowed up." the archaeologists had a time trying to figure out how to get him to the lab.. they ended up just sawing the branch off.

Altin! Yayyyyy
So basically Altin is an alchemist, so he has the ability to make the most priceless material ever! But at what cost? And is it worth it? Well, no, it's not. That's why he promised Rakesh he'd never make another gram of it again.

So I had the idea: what if we hollowed out a cake and put strawberry filling inside so it looked like the cake was bleeding strawberry jam when we cut it open?
And I threw the idea to my baker character.
so... Here's an alchemy cake that Rakesh would make if only he had the right reason and someone to eat it.
It is rotting in Rakesh's sketchbook waiting for him to make it.
(It's almond lemon flavored.)
Edit: to clarify how this works without collapsing, it's not exactly a hollowed-out cake... it's like there's only one hole through the entire thing except the top layer, the hole is the same size throughout so it's like stacking a bunch of wheels with the same inner radius on top of each other and increasing only the outer radius each time. hope that made sense
Second edit: idk if this would work with a large cake like this one, but it is possible to cut a hole in a smaller cake and fill it with edible fake blood (instead of using jam) so that you can stab it dramatically (since I don’t think you can dramatically stab such a large cake and have it “bleed” a lot unless you use a freaking sword and hack off a bunch) (I mean technically you could still use edible fake blood here, but in such a huge quantity, it’d be even messier than the jam… also you’d need to really stab the thing lol ;-;)

Art style challenge with @✮⋆𝄞⨾𓍢ִ໋𝔽𝕦𝕜𝕒𝕤𝕖𝄞⨾𓍢ִ໋✮❌🪻 and @Empty-Pie ! This was really fun! Basically we'd each try to draw our own personas in each others' art styles. I draw foreheads so much shorter than everyone else, lol...

So... Adaline met Nathanaël, shot him with a sleeping dart, and dragged him off to experiment and figure out how ghosts work. Nathanaël woke up, and turned into his ghost form. Adaline tried to escape but Nathanaël cornered her and demanded an explanation. And then this happens.
Brief mention of @Mantis's character. She never actually attacked Nathanaël but Adaline is using her as an excuse.
If you're wondering what happened to Nathanaël's cane, it's currently somewhere else (either Adaline took it or he left it in the woods) bc he would've dropped it when being sedated ;-;

so this is a major villain of Scarlet. His name is Cadeyrn and he’s the prince of the (currently unnamed, still workshopping) country that the main country (Camroz) just fought a war against. So in the rewrite, I was wondering if maybe the villains shouldn’t be mad about the war’s end and should be motivated by the war’s start. How did Altin’s family start a war, then? Well… Cadeyrn would prefer if you never knew.
