water drips from the sky
a leak from the stars blocked by blue
as clouds and clouds pass by
i love the stars, though i only see a few

the streetlights glow
and the houses are still lit
the amount of stars visible is low
the light only lets us see a bit

you are lucky if you see stars
a wish for me is life for thee
on my heart this will leave scars
i will look though i still may not see

stars are a blessing
from the universe far away
my love for the stars im confessing
this is all to my dismay

so live another day
see another night
in the day we will all play
in the night ill see the streetlight

but still look for the stars
