Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (ROTTMNT), which aired on Nickelodeon from 2018 to 2020, is a distinct reimagining of the franchise that focuses on the brothers unlocking mystic ninja powers while navigating a magical, hidden New York City. For the first time in the series history, each turtle is a different species—Raphael is a snapping turtle, Leonardo a red-eared slider, Donatello a softshell, and Michelangelo a box turtle—and they start with different age rankings (Raph is the eldest at 15, Mikey the youngest at 13). The show is known for its high-octane, fluid animation style, a departure from previous iterations that focuses heavily on the brothers' individual development and unique combat abilities, such as Donnie's reliance on tech and mystic weapons. The series was followed by a movie on Netflix in 2022 and has developed a dedicated cult following focused on its unique character dynamics and art direction. <3 That's the facts of my children >:D Tootles!!!!!!!!!~
