I use Gallery mainly for recording the process and the journal toward the true art of myself, not just showing the few highlight and selected parts. So I try to keep mind wondering ideas, exploration, casual sketches, learning process, as well final art piece in my Gallery all together. (while being respected of magma rules of using Gallery)
:0 oh wow, you have so much new amazing art i wanna heart it all lmao but dun wanna spam u-
Assumption of "vanish line" from 2 mutually parallel planes, not just "vanish point" from 2 mutually parallel lines.
Assumption of there is not only x y z axis but infinite numbers of local axis.
Wrong math assumption at all. The angles in photography is different from human eye I guess, depends on different type of lenses.
@trre oh ok! It’s still very beautiful, your work is great for reviewing more polished fundamentals, I find it very inspiring.
Thank you so much for your kind words on my drawing, it was my first time with clouds and water so that is very encouraging to hear
@Willow tree No no that is just a coincident effect :) because when I drew this I was like "ok maybe I'll playing around with the shape and form of dophin because it is so streamlined", so I didn't drew it big at first, so no too much pixel for lights and shadows later on. I cannot remember why I left spaces for these white spots, but not for refractions of light from surface water.
But your intuition is right, they indeed look like refractions.
willow Tree I like your recent work - Scenic Drawings:

The texture of night cloud has so much details, Also the unique representation of waves of water. I also like detailed, sensitive, deligent works (I myself too often can not help but dive into carving important details too far). But the main reason I like your piece is beyond the visual reptesentation -- The feelings is just right for introverted person like me, I get slow downs and immerse into the environment and scene, I like to stay with this mood for long time, one good piece is enough for this.
omg :> bendy :>>>>>>
wrong bending anatomy
ohh ok that makes sense because ive never met u in any of the art jams so then thats how u found me
i posted that gif because all olivine was saying was hello and how can i help
ALSO I DIDNT KNOW U WERE ON ARTSPOT
oh i see ok
@mernie Thanks for the replies. The first step is I selected 38 images and uploaded into one sequential canvas with 38 "pages" (don't know what it formally named). But the next step I have no shortcut but pressing the blue "Post to Gallery" button 38 times, each for an image, there seems no shortcut. What I really mean is the process, including naming and re-ordering the filename, so it took least time to post (even if not in magma someday). I learned a lot from other people's gallery or drawing in life, also learned a lot fundamental concepts systematically from books. They are many things to learn but the fundamental topics is like just 12 of them so I just reflected on what I was lacked and tried to find books for each topic. For example there are books to study Perspective and 3D rotation, 3D Volumes and Simplified Forms, Gestures and movement, Mammals Anatomy (Bones and muscles), Light and Shadows (rendering), Colors, Line abstraction and different kind of expression, cross hatching and material expression, Personal Styles, Composition, Storytelling, Meaning and Metaphor and implies... I found myself learn fast when I have the clear goal because before this I don't know how to start at all. But I have see enough art piece and I become more and more confident about this: The core part or art is always personality of artist, not skills. When I like an artist I like their genuine personality not their amazing skills. Their art piece is the genuine representation of themselves. This is the only way to go far in the long run. And I like your art for this exact reason.
BTW, I saw you post a funny gifs in the Artspot Artspace, in The Lion King, the Rafiki throwing Simba off the cliff and everybody is like hurray! Why I don't recall this scene at all? LMAO
and thank u for reminding me that drawing is just for fun because sometimes i forget that its not about the people and the likes
oh also i dont get notifications from posts it just appears in my ‘people im following’ page so its ok
wait do you mean you just clicked one button to post all of these? also ur welcome and thank u so much its fun to just learn art by yourself without taking classes and that because i think i wouldnt feel so amazing to just be taught by others
Thanks for the nice word @mernie ! I was expecting magma shrink the notification numbers to just one message, if I am follower and get that much spam that could be somehow annoying haha, I didn't expected that. I do batch post because I it save me times to do same repeated task before uploading. I not only draw online but also offline, but mostly not completed art piece but just playing around some random stuff.
I think there are so much hidden guru inside magma, they don't post even single image to Gallery, they don't write About, they don't have banner, they just "stay low"... until I saw how they draw in life... their skills are at top level and they don't even bother to share it. They just want having fun. Art is usless, pure, and innocent and by itself. Drawing is fun by itself, no need external rewarding like receiving Likes and Comments, that could be side reward but not the main point.
Regrading some researching and studys of drawing, I think most artist will walk through exact same path during thir art career. Being both sensitive enough feelings and good established drawing concept is reqired for completeing a good art piece, in the long run, this is why I study these topics, one by one.
By the way Mernie I like your art work a lot , that kind of creative is like gifted and showing natural personality, not learned or skills up. Truely Genuine.
ur studies are flabbergasting i havent went through them all bc there are basically 39 of them but they are amazing and feel like those um uh um book things or einstein’s brain cells also its funneh how the last time i checked u had 0 posts
Ahhh ok. Either way, it looks lovely
I had the same goal when i started with drawing people, and everyday im getting closer to where i wanna be, i cant draw animals that well but you sure can. And i hope you reach that goal someday! But there will always be struggles.
