"Why do you like
the rain?"
It makes me feel
free.
As if I'm being
washed away.
The cold water
falling,
falling,
falling,
down, onto my face.
Awaken me, fill me
up with joy.
I sometimes like to
think
The rain holds
empathy.
In every droplet
falling
Onto the ground,
It's reaching out,
but people run
Away.
My heart, cased in
stone,
Is grateful for the
rain.
Life blooms inside
me.
I feel the rain's
gentle caress
As it cries my
tears for me.
I sometimes think
If I could cry,
I would do so now.
But not of sadness.
Of joy.
Of the bittersweet
of it all.
