🟣 Astray Campaign Part 4: The world begins withering upon the Ancient's old structures. It has turned into a global winter; rain becomes replaced with snow fluttering down each cycle, gradually becoming a hazardous blizzard as the cycle continues to pass. Glimpse of Desire falls into decay, struggling with his last moments as he gifts his cloak to Astray for him to bear the bitter cold.

Astray is completely unable to ascend; after losing Glimpse of Desire and still having uncomfortable thoughts of SRS abandoning him, he cannot let go of his desire to seek for a friend or someone above him (to ascend, you must have the full mindset of leaving the cycle and your earthly desires). To both strive for his desires and ascension, the only solution for him is to rise to a higher ego than X karma to break the regular levels of karma for him and complete his journey into The Depths. A special Echo named Eonic Ripples of Paradoxical Luminescence is appointed ontop of Great Stars upon Looming Skies, a tall mast atop Glimpse's preservedcity that overlooks miles and miles of different structures. Eonic Ripples heavily relates to Astray, and in his discussion he describes himself being an outsider from other Ancients, yet "discovered something no one has ever observed". He informs Astray of an old, overpowered voidworm-like creature that awaits an unexpected ascendant to judge whether they will ascend or stay with the cycle.
[The void worm rejected Eonic Ripples, causing him to stay between the fabric of cycle and ascension (Echo)]

guys i made a huge essay about astray part 3 regions, its so large i cant even copy and paste it but heres like 1/5th of it

🟣 Finalized Labyrinth: instead of LoV's region named "Labyrinth of Vivian", its named this. but yeah its labyrinths superstructure, his city is named Erected Architecture and you need to go to the tallest pole/point of that region: a subregion named Awakened Stars. then you deliver the pearl and complete the second part of the game, then you have a HUGE cutscene with the iterators including art of: glimpse of desire, seven red suns, sonorous atricity, (somewhat) sliver of straw, ALOT of labyrinth of vivian, gaudere epiphany, alot of corrosive inscriptions, bla bla bla then i will describe the 4th part later but shhhhh its a spoiler if i say it now

for context of what i just said (if you dont know astray's first part of the lore), seven red suns creates a messenger, with several experiments involved beforehand. one of the failed experiments was astray, which happened to escape seven red suns' chamber. the campaign starts in outer expanse, at a gate not seen before (leads to advanced transportation). astray, feeling lonely and searching for another iterator, explores the rest of glimpse of desire's regions/territory (https://magma.com/artist/leash451000/posts/6a77405f02b114e18ce4b7ec) and then finds glimpse of desire.

🟣 a beginning region, takes approximately 15 minutes to get to your destination: silent crossroads. to access glimpse of desire -> labyrinth of vivian, there is another mid game region that leads to a completely different map.

🟣 the small superstructure in the top right ish corner is very important as it labels where youre looking at, but if you dont get it then

the top left corner describes majority of the map, vigilant conduits go to artificial waterfalls which goes to the other side of the map. perished bridges are the walls of glimpse of desire, in which i forgot to add.. but this is all connected through outer expanse, going through advanced transport, bla bla bla.. udf doesnt connect to that region on the bottom of it

the bottom right is ten bells, the only access to inside his structure through deep tunnels and strange rails. perished bridges is that whole left side of the structure but I FORGOTTTUUH

where you see of the superstructure corner in the top right is what leads downward from perished bridges, which is a deposit from his used water so it can be recycled and used once again. this isnt a lasting solution, as he needs to extract water from other grounds. artificial waterfalls leads to unwanted end, and then underground drill facility. since astray is biomechanical, he needs to break the cycle and get to a higher karma.. a hidden echo will do the trick, if astray is already able to get X karma and sees that echo, it will unlock another stretch of karma.

corner 4 is the east, heading to the farther east, in which you can access the rest of the map by going west by steam vaults and vigilant conduits.

corner 2 is far west, corner 4 is east, and corner 3 is when you climb perished bridges.

🟣 Five Pebble's rot spreads it's way from small filtration systems underground, all the way towards Vigilant Conduits, the murky, nearly-clogged pipes located under Glimpse of Desire's towering structure. Fortunately enough they did not reach to the pipe system that transports water through his superstructure. This is a severe problem for Glimpse. He begins a large project, bioengineering masses of vulture grubs and miros birds; he malforms them and welds metal parts to their degraded surfaces. The joints on their stilt legs are able to function since they're connected with their own nerves. They can be controlled/attatched by his overseers, and their main objective is to find rot and consume it. They are also multipurposed; through his overseers he can set their target to an overpopulated species and lower their abundance. It takes about 8-12 spears to kill them or 2 explosive spears. It is never the best idea to kill them; if you target them, they will target you. They never react in fear to a creature more powerful than them. The cyst worms in question are in active pain from the amount of rot they consume. When it gets to a point, the cyst worm's body will fail and die. The rot will die with them and is unable to continue their spread.
[NOW CANON: pestilence (@Stupid ) passes under GoD's structure while infected with rot; astray is in attempt to protect him from cyst worms, and since pest has pebble's rot, Glimpse is not fond of him.]

A new slugcat species that dwells in the trenches of Shoreline. This particular kind tends to be more stealthy and hidden away, rather than outgoing and curious to things; its adorable appearance is decieving. They are very great swimmers. They live and hunt isolated, and males coming into contact cause a violent encounter with eachother since they are highly territorial. Females are never phased by another's presence.

Since their deep habitat reaches freezing temperatures, they are equipped with heavy amounts of blubber to withhold energy and prevent their bodies from going into shock. How they generate energy is unique: after consuming food, their body starts to break it down as usual for a creature. As it processes in their digestive system, their stomach creates extreme acids that can burn poison, parasites, or anything harmful to them before it reaches the rest of their intestines. The heavy acids react to the food, creating a metabolic chemical. Cells drastically convert/produce the chemical into energy; a meal of a few jetfish is enough energy for 1 cycle. Since Pelagics use up too much energy each cycle from swimming, they need to feed more on prey. They have 12 pips for the cycle: 9 required and 3 left over.

Their strange gills are located under the neck. Two flaps are designed for water to flow easily through them. Under each flap consists of sensory veins that can trap/take in dissolved oxygen and seperate it from water to pass it through their respiratory system.

One of The Pelagics, with an intelligent mind, wanted to separate from their ways of being below the ocean and make it to the unseen surface. Instead of hidden away like other Pelagics, this one is more on the curious side. He meets an unknown slugcat that had the similar goal of discovering the underwater world; instead of going on each other's way, they teach eachother their old patterns in order to reach what they both had wished for. The Pelagic is a step closer to being able to breathe ordinary air since its gills can consume dissolved oxygen. The unknown slugcat practices their breath leniency and the ability to efficiently swim underwater.
