Hey guys!
As you can tell by the title of this post, the Sages Redesign Competition is officially over!
This was the first competition for Hyruleans, and I hope you guys had some fun with your designs!
I will announce the winner by mid-November (yes, that is a while away) and as a reminder, the winner will receive a trophy painted by me with their username on it, and their design will be displayed on the About page of Hyruleans!
Have a great day,
✦ STAROLIA
twas a lil goofy, but was fun to watch unfold :D
Uh... i forgot that i didn't shut down my laptop and it looks like this jam was running all night...
yeah the sudden rush of new members makes sense now haha, there's some amazing artwork on here guys, awesome work :D
Opp i couldnt finish
@Chocolate Ballad so sorry about that! i'll run another jam soon >:)
have funsies in this LoZ art jam :D
there are some bases if you want to use them, and space to free draw :D
credit for the artists who made the bases are in the images themself.
Also, for those participating, only one more week left until submissions for the Sages Redesign Competition are closed! Please have a re-read of the Competition info so you have everything ready for your submission!
so obviously, somehow zelda became link and the upper legs section could not be done ;-; even still, very interesting result
appreciate all who joined :D
giving zelda a new fit but it's in sections and you cannot see the other sections until the jam is done.
this is basically a game of Exquisite Corpse :D
First redesign competition guys!
Pick your favourite sage from any of the Zelda games/comics and give them a make-over!
Look to the event guide in the "info + events" section of Hyruleans for the submission guidelines and the judging criteria. The main thing is that you gotta be part of Hyruleans to participate, that's all :))
The winner will receive a cool trophy drawn by me AND will have their redesign showcased on the About page of Hyruleans :D
Good luck!!
@thersona ur not dumb at all! redesigning something is to give it a new design- in the context of the sages competition, it would be changing the sage to better reflect their personality, their heritage, etc.
like for example, if I wanted to redesign Riju from totk, i would first of all replace her high-heels for some flat-footed shoes like the Sand Boots outfit piece because it is incredibly difficult to walk over sand in high heels. I would also give her a pretty cloak because that would give better protection from the extremes of the gerudo desert
what does redesign mean? sorry im kinda dumb lol
my favourite part to draw was the neck bit, after that i got really tired haha
It always comes down to us, doesn't it?
Link and Ganondorf have a very different relationship (Mostly on Ganondorf's part) in my swap au compared to how Zelda and him see each other in aoi. (spoiler- they barely interact)
I think AOI has some pretty sad dialouge and characters so I'm hoping to give them a little bit more life I suppose. So the Sage all have had either minimal revamps or full a re-do.
I haven't figured out how I want to showcase the new Sages since all Zelda sees are the short tear memories...hrmmmmmmm
I think it would be funny if canon totk Zelda was over-confrontational and Sonia had to drag her away from Ganondorf because she would ask him weirdly specific passive aggressive questions.
Sure!
@cyber-reverb is it okay if i repost this on the public feed?
LOVE IT!
